About Your Training Provider
A core strength of the training we provide comes from the quality of the in-school mentoring and tutoring for student teachers from good and outstanding teaching practitioners. Included within the students’ teaching placements is an excellent Professional Development Programme where sessions are run by outstanding teachers in a number of teaching areas including: Special Educational Needs, Most Able Students, Boys Achievement, Literacy, Pastoral Care, Behaviour Management and also Interview Techniques to support students when applying for posts.
The variety of schools within the partnership ensures that student teachers receive a wide range of school experiences on their placements, developing the broadest range of teaching skills including: 11-18 age range, schools in urban and rural settings and ethnically diverse placements. Close links between the partnership schools ensures consistency in training at our schools, coordinated by Limehurst Academy and quality assured by the University of Leicester’s School of Education.
